Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Raeven Logic Systems Inc. (“Raeven Logic Systems”, “we”, “us”) collects when you buy or use one of our products, and how we handle it. We are a corporation registered in Alberta, Canada.

This page should be read along with our Terms of Purchase and Use.

Our products are Kintrak at kintrak.ca, Age Wise Index at agewiseindex.com and the Aging-in-Place Home Walk-Through, a free guide offered at leadtime.news. The first part of this page applies to all of them. After it, there is a short section for each product, because what they collect is genuinely different.

Applies to all our products

What we collect

We collect only what we need in order to sell you a product, deliver it, and support you. Depending on the product, that means some or all of the following:

• Your name and email address
• Information you choose to give us, such as a name to be printed on a purchase, or the professional details you enter into an account
• Records of your purchase or subscription
• Technical information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you move through the site

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

• To prepare and deliver what you bought, and to send your receipt
• To operate, maintain, and improve our products
• To answer you and provide support
• To keep our products secure and prevent misuse
• To send a newsletter, if you have asked for one, with an unsubscribe link in every issue

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share only what is needed, with the service providers who help us operate: our payment processor, the services we use to send email and host our products, and our analytics provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the integrity of our products.

Where your information is held

Our products are hosted on servers that may be located outside Canada, and our service providers may process information in other countries. By using our products you consent to that transfer, subject to the safeguards the law requires.

Security

We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and organizational measures suited to how sensitive it is. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Where a product has accounts, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for telling us promptly if you suspect someone else has used them.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the product, to meet our tax and legal obligations, and to resolve any dispute. After that we remove it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are able, by emailing karen@karenlight.ca. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time using the link in the issue.

Cookies and measurement

We use Google Analytics on kintrak.ca, agewiseindex.com and leadtime.news to understand how visitors use our sites, such as which pages are most read. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information including your approximate location, browser, and the pages you visit, and that information is processed by Google. We use it only to understand and improve our sites, not to identify you personally. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Age Wise Index also uses a session cookie to keep you signed in while you are using it. That cookie is removed when you log out or close your browser.

When we advertise on other platforms, our sites may include that platform's tag. It records visits to the page so we can measure how our advertising performs.

Canadian privacy law

Raeven Logic Systems Inc. is incorporated in Canada and handles personal information in keeping with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. In practice, this means:

• Accountability. We are responsible for the personal information under our control, and you can reach us about it at karen@karenlight.ca.
• Identifying purposes. We identify why we are collecting information at or before the time we collect it, as described on this page.
• Consent. We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where the law does not require it.
• Limiting collection. We collect only what we need for the purposes described here, and we do not collect indiscriminately.
• Limiting use, disclosure, and retention. We use information only for the purposes it was collected for, and keep it only as long as needed or as the law requires.
• Accuracy. We keep information as accurate and current as it needs to be. Where a product has an account, you can update your details in it at any time.
• Safeguards. We protect information with security measures suited to its sensitivity.
• Openness. We make our privacy practices available through this page.
• Individual access. On request we will tell you what we hold, how it has been used, and who it has been disclosed to, and give you access to it. We respond within 30 days.
• Challenging compliance. You can raise a concern with us at the address above, or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Children

Our products are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
